Cleaning up complex mechanicals

- [Instructor] So it's one thing to clean up a pretty darn clean piece of line art, after all, I was drawing with a Repeatograph, it could not have been blacker, on a very bright white piece of paper. So there we're just dealing with the foibles of the scanner, but I imagine some of you have much more complex mechanicals, for example, what we have here is a vintage piece by, my girlfriend's grandfather actually drew this back in the day. They had a deli in Fort Bragg in northern California, and so what he's done is pretty impeccable work. Drew it however, on a drawing board, on a colored drawing board. He also made some corrections using lined notebook paper. We've got a bunch of Wite-Out, and we have some non-repro blue pencil along with some graphite notes over here, and yet we're going to take this and clean it up so that it's strictly a black and white piece of line art, using, once again, the levels command.
