- [Narrator] When it comes to applying creative blur effects for a photograph, there are some really fun filters in Photoshop that can help out with this. In this movie, I want to highlight one of these filters with is called Field Blur. Alright, well let's begin by converting our layer to a Smart Object layer. Right click or control click the layer and choose convert to Smart Object. Alright, that's step number one. Step number two is to got to the filter pull-down menu and we're going to go to our Blur gallery. We'll chose the top option here which is called Field Blur. So step one: convert to Smart Object. Step two: filter and Blur Gallery. When we click on this it will open up our Blur Gallery workspace. You can see we have a new options bar and new panels over here. Now, the panel is showing me my Blur Tools. Currently, we've selected Field Blur. And we have a blur amount. To increase, drag to the right. To decrease, drag to the left.
