Here we are going to explore how we can modify the overall color and tone to add…a bit more edge to this photograph.…There is a great technique that you can use, and it involves using an adjustment…layer, so click on your Adjustment Layer icon and then choose Black & White, and…what you can do with this Black & White adjustment is modify the image.…You can either use the Target Adjustment tool and then simply click and drag on…different areas of the image, or you can modify the sliders in order to brighten…up different aspects of the photo.…Now here, what I want to do is not have a black-and-white conversion, but rather,…I am trying to create a black-and-white conversion that has a nice mix, because…I'm going to use a blending mode of Soft Light.…
What that will do is it will give me a really interesting, muted, contrast type of a look.…Here it is. Here you can see that before and then after.…The great thing about this is we can control these different areas.…You can see I'm brightening up the yellows.…
