Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Challenge: Improving skin, part of Learning Photoshop Portrait Retouching.
(high-pitched zooming)…- [Instructor] For this challenge,…we'll be working on this portrait that I captured…of an artist.…And this is a work in progress,…and what you're going to do is to finish it off.…If you look in the Layers panel over here,…you can see I have the original image,…as it appeared straight out of the camera.…Then I've applied a creative effect here,…and next, what you need to do, is to clean up the image.…I'll zoom in on the photograph,…to talk about how we're going to do that.…Now, for this challenge, it is cumulative,…in other words, you'll need to use some of the skills…from this chapter,…and a few from some of the previous chapters as well.…
What's the challenge entail?…Essentially, two things.…First, I want you to clean up some of the small details…or skin variations or blemishes…that we're seeing in the portrait.…Then, second, work on reducing or removing…the shadows underneath the eyes,…and also this shadow that we have here on the forehead.…For this challenge, I would give yourself…approximately five to seven minutes.…
