- The next step that we'll be taking in this project…is to make a selection of this bright, smiling face…that we have here that we wanna use,…and combine with the underlying layer.…In order to make a selection,…we're going to go ahead and choose the Lasso tool.…Tap the "L" key, think L for Lasso,…or just click on that icon right here.…Next, because we're going to need to blend this in,…let's go ahead and add some Feather to our selection.…Here I'll bring this up to maybe two, or even three.…Now with the Lasso tool,…what you do is you click and drag,…and we're gonna go ahead and click and drag…in a generous way.…
In other words, we're gonna select more than we need,…and then wrap around to where we started…so we have a nice selection of that area.…What we're going to do in order to use this expression…is we're gonna actually copy our selection to a new layer…so that we can modify it…without having to worry about…the rest of all of this here.…So in order to copy this selection to a new layer…we'll use a shortcut.…
