…So far in this chapter, we've seen how we can add adjustment layers and then…change the adjustment layer blending mode in order…to affect the way that our photograph appears.…Well here we're going to continue that…conversation, but this time we're going to talk…about how we can include working with a mask in order to improve a photograph.…Now this is a picture that we've already seen.…We already worked on this one in a previous chapter.…Yet I wanted to include this here in order to show you how…we can accomplish a similar effect to something that we've done before.…
Previously, we looked at how we could brighten up the subject's face…and hands, and a little bit of the wet suit in this area.…Let's go ahead and look at how we can do…that with an adjustment layer, a blending mode, and a mask.…Here, we'll click on our adjustment layer icon.…In this case, curves.…And we'll close that dialog there, so it isn't distracting.…Next, we'll take our layer blending…mode to screen.…What the screen blending mode does is it allows us to brighten up the photograph.…
