Bouncing light

- No matter what you're shooting, or how you're lighting it, chances are you're going to end up with shadows in places where you don't want them. And so the solution to that is to bounce some light back into the shadows to fill them up. Now, what you use to bounce light into those shadows just depends on what you're shooting, and of course what tools you have available. Take, for example, these 5-in-1 reflectors here. These have a variety of different reflective surfaces. For example, this is white on one side, this one's silver on this side. Usually these will have gold on one side as well, which is really, really warming and bounces a lot of very warm light into your subject. And if that's a bit too much warming, then you might want to consider something like this. A silver and gold blend that gives you a little bit of that warming effect, but not quite as much.
