Blending text with a photograph
- [Instructor] Now I'm going to show you how to blend fully editable text with the photographic image, using a combination of a blend mode and a layer effect. I'll go ahead and switch over to the documents so far. Notice that my text is white. Anytime you're working with a white object inside Photoshop, you can use that object to invert everything in back of it by changing the blend mode up here in the top left corner of the layers panel, to this guy right here, difference. Notice everything that was previously dark in the photographic image has become light inside the letters. Everything that was light has become dark and the colors have inverted too. Whereas we used to have various shades of orange, we now have opposite shades of blue. All right, but what if you don't want your letters to be blue? You want them to be some other color.
