Batch renaming files

- The names that are assigned to clips by default can be a bit confusing. That's because most cameras just use an acronym or a precursor name, followed by a shot number. And sometimes those numbers aren't even unique. After all, take a look on your hard drive if you use GoPro cameras, and see how many GoPro 0001 files you have. 'Cause every time you change the battery, the counter restarts. But in any case, giving it a more unique name can be helpful when it comes time to edit. But to do this, we want to be consistent, and we want to do it in a non-destructive way. What you can do is select the shots in your sequence. Now, I suggest arranging them from left to right, in the order that you want, but you can also just click on them in the order that you want to use. I'll do Command or Control + A for select all, then from the tools menu, I'll choose Batch Rename. Now, in this case, I'm going to show you the steps, but I'm not going to actually rename these.
