- In this movie, we're going to see another application of the all-important strobe distance rule, this time as it applies to backing away from the foreground subject. Along the way, we're going to take a look on how we can avoid backscatter, which is basically a function of all the junk floating around in the water, and that's going to help us to master the art of convergence. All right, so here we are looking at the very close-up version of our set-up. Now what we're going to do, though, is we're going to back off, and this time we're farther away than we were in the first movie, and I think it's pretty obvious where the point of convergence is; it's where the flash from the two strobes overlaps each other, but notice that the distance from the lens to the foreground subject has extended dramatically.
