In this movie I'd like to add one more layer to our discussion of color modes and color profiles and color working spaces. In our previous movie we discussed working in RGB versus working in CMYK, the RGB was a more flexible and easier color space to work in for capturing and editing and so it is. There's one other thing you want to pay attention to is, that is the color space and profile that's being assigned to your file. This is important because the profile that you use to characterize the way color looks on screen and when you print is very important in controlling how your image actually looks when you open it up in say something like Photoshop, or look at it on the Web or work at it in a PDF file or even print it. So, profiles are what we use to assign to these to control what colors look like when we output them.
