Applying Camera Raw as a smart filter

- [Narrator] In this movie, I'll show you how to apply what is possibly the most powerful, editable smart filter, in all of photoshop. And that is, the camera raw filter. And after we're done, we're going to end up getting a better effect than the combined results of those three smart adjustments that we applied in an earlier movie, which by the way, are pictured right here, so you be the judge. In any event, I'm going to start off with my flat background and I'll double click on it, here inside the layers panel, and then I will once again, name my independent layer "group." Now I'll right click inside the image window with my rectangular marquee tool and I'll choose convert to smart object. And next what you do is go up to the filter menu, and choose camera raw filter, or you've got a keyboard shortcut of control shift A or command shift A on the Mac, to bring up the whoppingly enormous, camera raw window.
