Alignment options
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at some alignment options in Photoshop. I'll start out talking about point text, and then move on to talking about paragraph text. I'll choose my horizontal type tool, and click. And wherever I click becomes the point from which my chosen alignment takes effect. So currently my type is left aligned from this point. Now centered from this point. Now right aligned to that point. If I want to align this text centered on my canvas, that's a different proposition. First of all, let me just increase its size. And I'll just drag it back onto the canvas, but now I want to center it horizontally and vertically on the canvas. And to do this, I need to be sure I'm on the layer, press cmd or ctrl + a to select the whole canvas, and then using my alignment options up here, I can center it vertically and center it horizontally. I'll now turn that layer off, and press cmd or ctrl + d to deselect my selection. Let's look at left aligning text and the issue here is…
