Affect diffuse, specular, and reflection

- [Instructor] Another set of controls that can be found in the options rollout for all operating modes of the V-Ray light are the affect diffuse, affect specular, and affect reflections options, the idea of these being that they essentially give us a level of control over how our V-Ray light will interact with certain services and materials in the scene. For instance, the affect diffuse parameter determines whether a light will affect the diffuse component of a material or not. And so if we disable that all together on our light and take a render, all that we see now are the specular and reflective properties of the materials, which in some situations can be a brilliant piece of functionality to have available. Let's assume that here, for instance, whilst we have the scene lit the way that we want, we would like to add either a little extra kick to scene reflections or maybe we have decided to shift where the highlights are…
