Adjustment layers and blend modes
- [Instructor] Now we'll talk about the relationship between adjustment layers and blend modes. Now blend modes, are these guys right here. They're represented by default, by the word Normal, near the top left corner of the Layers panel. And they include a very long list indeed and they preview on the fly as you can see. Now, these are sufficiently complicated that I will be devoting an entire chapter to blend modes in a future course. But for now, I want you to know about just four of them. And so I'll go ahead and escape out here for a moment and I'll double click on the thumbnail for this brighter layer, in order to bring up the Properties panels and I'll press Shift + Enter in order to highlight the first value that didn't work because on the PC, blend modes are sticky. And so notice that I'm seeing a blue outline around the blend mode. As soon as I press Shift + Enter or just Enter or Escape, that blue outline goes…
