Adding a new background color

- [Voiceover] In this movie, we'll take a look at how we can select and then replace the entire background of a photograph. We'll be working with this picture here, it was a conceptual image I was working on. And, this is just a little model I put together with this hot air balloon, which I tied to a boat. And I held it in front of a blue door, but the blue door's kind of splotchy, so I want to change the blue that I have in the background. I want to customize that and replace it. So, I want to select that area. To do that, I want to use a tool which is called the Magic Wand. Often, this tool's called the Tragic Wand because people don't like it very much. But in a situation like this, it's gonna work incredibly well. So here's how it works. Up here in the Options bar, if you click and have a low Tolerance, it's gonna select a small area. As we increase this value, here, I'll click again, you can see it's saying, hey, I'm a little bit more tolerant of variation here. I'm gonna…
