Adding color tints to an image

- [Instructor] We're going to look at two different ways to add a color tint to an image. I'm going to use a photo filter to emulate a photograph that's faded with time and lost a bit of its original dynamic range. And then I'm going to compare that to using the hue saturation adjustment layer. It's a subtle difference, but it really depends on the look that you're after as to which tool you will select. So with the left layer selected in the layers panel, I'll click on the adjustment layer icon, and then choose photo filter. There a number of different presets that are listed at the top. We can choose from different warming filters or different cooling filters. We can select from any of the other colors on the list. And we can click in the color swatch if we simply want to select our own color. Here I'll pick sort of a darker orange color, and click OK.
