Add, subtract, and intersect

- Under ideal circumstances, a selection would just take one action. Just make a selection and it's perfect with no modifications needed. But in reality, we're going to need to modify our selections in a variety of ways until they are the best selection for the intended purpose. At a very basic level, that often means adding to an existing selection, subtracting from an existing selection, or creating an intersect selection. So let's take a look at those options. We'll start off with the default for most of the selection tools, which is to create a new selection and what that means is that if I have an active selection and then I draw another area of that selection, I'm actually replacing the original selection with the new selection, so I'll draw an ellipse up in the sky here and you can see that is my selection. If I come down into the water and draw another ellipse, the original ellipse disappears and I have a new ellipse. So each time I draw a selection, I end up with only that…
