Accessing layer comps from within InDesign
Now, a great feature inside of InDesign is its ability to access layer comps inside of a Photoshop file. So to demonstrate this, I'm going to move over to InDesign. Inside of InDesign let's create a new document and once inside of InDesign, I'm going to choose Command+D or Ctrl+D to place the document. I'm going to go into the exercise files where I've been saving my layer comps as we've gone through this course. I'm going to click on the interaction_design.psd, click Open. With my loaded text gun I'm going to click to place the PSD file. I'm going to scale this down, put it up on the page. Now, I'm going to right-click. I'm going to come down and choose Object > Layer Options. When this dialog box comes up, you'll see that we have the ability inside of InDesign to turn on and off individual layers from our Photoshop file, but also notice here, we have the Layer Comp menu. This will show all of the layer comps that we created inside of the Photoshop file. So, let's come in here and…
