The exercise files for this course consist of a single Photoshop file. The layers in the file have been grouped into sections that represent various regions of the layout. As we work through the course, we’ll be applying instances of Smart Object swatches into these groups, and applying them as Clipping Masks for various types of art and photography within the layout.
- [Voiceover] The exercise files for this course are available to all members, and include a single Photoshop file. Now in the Photoshop file, in the Layers panel, all of the artwork and text have been arranged into layer groups, and named for specific areas. Now at the top in the logo group, we have an embedded Illustrator Smart Object for the logo, and a Photoshop vector shape for the rectangle. Now the main story group includes a headline and body copy, a side paragraph rule, a small embedded Smart Object from Illustrator, and a large photo of a wooden bowl.
The related products section includes a title bar and text, with two more product groups, each with a photo and a text label, as well as another group with a button where we can have a link to see all products. And finally the background group includes a photo of a granite counter top. Now the colors of artwork created in Photoshop, which include vector shapes, text and bit mapped shapes, are colored with either black, white or grey, allowing us to apply colors with this more centrally controlled technique that we're gonna cover in this course. So download your Photoshop file, and let's start colorizing this layout with Smart Objects.
