Draw anything you like on a piece of paper. Deke drew a cartoon self-portrait with a felt-tip pen. Then scan it, or more simply, snap a photo of it with your smartphone. Bring it into Photoshop. After rotating the photo and increasing its contrast, clean up the drawing with a Wacom drawing tablet and a pressure-sensitive stylus. In this video, Deke shows you how to color in the background and the lines themselves using watercolor washes from the Dreamstime image library for eye-catching results.
