430 Combining multiple drop shadows to create faux-3D type

- In this movie, I'll show you how to create…this kind of faux extrusion effect.…In which all these letters have these sides,…these kinds of 3D sides.…But instead of using 3D in Photoshop,…we'll be assigning multiple drop shadows…here inside Photoshop CC 2015.…So, if you have Photoshop CC and you haven't updated it yet,…by all means do, because this is an amazingly great feature.…All right, I'm going to go ahead and switch over…to this effect that I created in the previous movie.…And you can see that we have a total…of three strokes assigned to this editable text…which is set in Adobe Garamond Pro, by the way.…

All right, so the first shadow that we need to create…is one that establishes the rear portion of the extrusion.…And to create it, I'm going to go ahead and drop down…to my effects icon.…You can see that the text layer's selected.…That's very important, of course.…And now I'll choose Drop Shadow from the bottom of the list.…And the first thing I'm gonna do…is change the blend mode to normal.…And I'm gonna crank the opacity value up to 100 percent.…
