387 Further reducing banding with a gradient layer

- In this movie, I'll show you how to further address…any residual banding issues…that you're experiencing when printing…an extremely colorful piece of artwork…that contains lots of gradients like this one right here,…by adding a gradient layer…to a very select portion of the artwork…here inside Photoshop.…So imagine that this is, of course,…the original version of the artwork…that I created in Illustrator,…but if uncorrected it outputs like this.…And I'm using a state-of-the-art Epson R3000…and the best quality paper possible.…

And yet, this is what things end up looking like.…It's too dark, and we have this severe banding…between the blues and the purples.…So depending on your printer…you may get an entirely different result.…But what we want is to achieve…something along the lines of this image right here.…So this is a final printed version of this artwork…when it's altogether corrected,…and we have these nice, smooth transitions…as you can see.…But let's say, thanks to the adjustment layers…you applied in the previous movie,…
