About mobile sketching in Photoshop Sketch

- [Instructor] Photoshop Sketch is one of the mobile apps from Adobe that aim to enable you to express your creativity wherever you are whenever inspiration strikes. If you're like me and you've ever grabbed something from your surroundings, like maybe you're at a restaurant and you grab a paper napkin or a flyer or something like that, basically anything you can lay your hands on to draw on and then start scratching out an idea, then Photoshop Sketch will make the perfect digital companion for you. It's the whole acceleration of the ideation process that Adobe are addressing with these tools, and I think that certainly in this app's case, you're going to agree that they are doing a pretty good job. From my own past and experience, I know I spend a lot of time commuting on the train. During those journeys, quite often because I had nothing else to look at, I knew the journey, I knew the route, I'd just stare out of the window. Maybe that helped me to clear my mind and have new ideas. So I'd reach into my bag, get my sketchbook, and then start working in that. Of course, when I got into the studio or back home it meant firing up the scanner and scanning what I'd done or as technology develops, using my phone maybe to capture an image of the sketchbook and then work onwards from there. With Photoshop Sketch, you'll find you've got tools that behave just like the real thing. It's so convincing, it's easy to forget that you're drawing on glass. If you add to that the ability to be able to load or capture images and use them as reference or directly in the sketch, to be able to use millions of colors, even maybe the same brand colors that you might be using in a wider project with such a huge number of tools that you could never realistically carry all of the real world counterparts of those tools with you, it means there's less chance of you losing the moment when you do get that sudden burst of inspiration. Now don't get me wrong, physical sketchbooks are still great but if you're working on a commercial project and developing ideas, then digital will make your work flow so much faster because this app has real utility with your connected Creative Cloud desktop apps, and that is what you'll most likely be using to finish the work, so let's have a look at that in the next movie.
