New to version 15, Premiere Elements’ Haze Removal tool cleans up and sharpens video shot on a foggy or smoggy day.
- [Instructor] A new effect that's been added…to version 15 of Premiere Elements…is the Haze Removal effect.…As the name implies, the effect…removes haze and fog from your videos.…It sharpens the picture by increasing the contrast,…and this can save you a video that's shot on a hazy day…or a video scenery that's hidden…behind a layer of fog or smog.…Adding the effect is very very easy.…We've got a video on our timeline here,…obviously shot on a smoggy day on the west coast,…and we're going to remove some of that smog,…some of that fog, some of that haze from the picture.…
So I'm gonna select the clip on my timeline,…go over here to the Effects panel,…and under Advanced Adjustments, right here,…we're going to select Haze Removal.…Drag it onto the clip on my timeline,…and there is kind of the default setting.…You see it has an automatic Haze Removal setting…that turns on automatically, if that's checked.…If you manually want to set it,…that's easy enough to do, but even with…the auto Haze Removal setting set,…you can increase or decrease its sensitivity.…
