- [Instructor] If you're a premium member of the online training library, you'll have access to the exercise files that we'll be using throughout this course. I keep them on my desktop here in this folder. Inside you will see the project files, these are the ones that end in dot PREL. As well as the sub folder here for the project assets. These are my media files. Opening a project in Premiere Elements is easy. Just go to the file menu, and select open project. By the way, don't use add media to open a project, that's for a different purpose which we'll talk about later in the course.
Make sure to open your project, you go to file, open. Locate your project file. Sometimes when you open a project you'll find that it lost the link to the media files. Don't worry, that's an easy fix also, just go into that desktop folder and go to project assets. At the top of the panel that opens, it will ask you for a particular file, in this case RollingChocolate3 MP4, so all I got to do is find that file. Once I've located it and select it, the program will automatically find all the other media files that are in that folder and reconnect them for you.
Once your media files are linked, you can proceed. Now if you don't have access to the exercise files, don't worry, you can still follow along with your own assets. And now, let's get started with Premiere Elements 15.
