Stylizing an image in Microsoft Word

- While I personally advocate trying to work with images from a series or the same photographer, there are times that you're going to need to give an image a style to make it look consistent. Microsoft Word offers several built-in filters so you can change the appearance of an image. There are also a few things you can do with tints or overlays to affect how it looks. Let's explore the built-in tools that you have for stylizing images. There are several options to stylize photos built in to Word. Just select the image and make sure you choose the Format picture controls. You'll notice on the left the ability to access Artistic Effects. If you click the dropdown, there are several presets that you can choose. If you mouse over a preset, it'll apply and give you a preview. Depending upon the complexity of the preset and the speed of your machine, it may take a few seconds but I generally find that auditioning an effect is useful.
