There are many different ways that you can use to modify the properties of a digital image. Microsoft Word has great options that can let you do advanced adjustments to your digital images. In this video, author Richard Harrington walks you through how to add transparency to a digital image in Microsoft Word.
- Microsoft Word does offer some control over transparency…for any photos that you place into a document.…You'll find that you can easily remove the background…with a series of commands,…or if you choose to place the photo…into a shape, you could reduce its overall transparency.…Let's see how.…Let's start by adding partial transparency.…I can select an individual image and come on over…under the Format Picture Tools…and choose to remove a background.…With a click, it's going to decide what parts you're keeping…in the photo.…
It'll make its best attempt to guess.…We can mark areas to keep by drawing…and it will reanalyze.…If there's areas to get rid of, you use the red tool here.…When you're ready, click Keep Changes and it will subtract.…Now that works quite well.…Let's try it on one more photo here,…and I'll choose Remove Background.…
It's going to analyze the image and attempt to find the photo.…Again, mark any areas that are selected accidentally…that you want to keep.…You may take a few strokes here to get them.…
