Photoshop CS4: Image Compositing for Photographers
In Photoshop CS4: Image Compositing for Photographers, Jan Kabili demonstrates how to take photographs to the next creative level using image compositing techniques in Photoshop. Jan starts with a basic compositing workflow: how to choose images, move layers from one file to another, use Smart Objects to transform photos, blend photos with layer masks, and resize and sharpen the results. She then reveals her methods for blending images into a composite for a seamless look. Photoshop's powerful blending features, including Auto-Blend, the Advanced Blending sliders, and layer knockout, are explored. Jan also shows how to handle common multiple-image situations, such as panoramas, bracketed exposures, and HDR photos. Exercise files are included with this course.

(Music playing) Hi! I'm Jan Kabili. Welcome to Photoshop CS4 Image Compositing. Of course, Photoshop is a great tool for enhancing single photographs, one at a time, but sometimes a single photo just isn't enough, whether for photographic reasons or for creative reasons, and that's where Photoshop's Image Compositing features come into play. In this course, I'll start off by walking you through a basic workflow for combining photos, from moving one file into another, to converting to a Smart Object, and resizing, all the way through to sharpening a final composite layer.
I'll teach you a variety of techniques for blending images into a composite that looks seamless, using Layer Masks, the Auto Blend feature, the hard-to-find Blend If sliders and more. If you're already comfortable with Photoshop fundamentals and you want to learn how to take your composition skills to the next level, this is the course for you. So let's get started with Photoshop CS4 Image Compositing.
