- Sharpening is one of those things that you do…to an image towards the end of the adjustment process.…This allows you to quickly bring back…some of the details in the edges.…With this particular image, let's just take advantage of…the auto enhance and we'll bring up a little bit more color.…The image looks good overall, but it needs sharpening.…What we're seeing is that some of the edges…just really don't stand out.…Now I'm viewing it 100% magnification.…
If you viewed this at 200%, the computer…is showing you subpixel resampling…because it's enlarging the pixels due to the pixel doubling.…And anything in between is not gonna be accurate, either.…Click the little thumbnails here…and make sure you're viewing it 100%.…Now as you adjust sharpening,…it's a lot easier to get results.…You can guess and just click the Auto button…and have Photos try its best to get things to work.…If we toggle that on and off,…you'll notice that the image is definitely sharper.…
However, I think it did it a little too much.…While I like what happened up here in the rocks,…
