- There are a lot of things…that can cause noise in an image.…Smaller sensors are prone to be noisier…because they have to work harder in low light.…Having not enough light will cause noise.…If you have a camera that has an ISO setting,…if you bump it up or you're shooting in an auto mode,…it might try too hard to boost the signal,…which leads to noise.…And a camera that's overheated can be noisy.…I think you're picking up on a pattern here.…Noise is pretty prevalent in digital cameras.…Let me show you how to pull it out.…
I'm gonna go over here to an image that's HDR.…And let's open it up, and go to the edit mode.…Remember, noise is easiest to see at 100% magnification.…If we take a look at this image here,…we can see some noise, particularly in the shadows.…Let's open this up and do an auto adjustment for light.…We'll bring the highlights down a little bit more.…
And bring up the color, particularly the saturation,…but reduce the contrast.…If you look here in the colored areas,…the JPEG file is definitely noisy.…
