Join Derrick Story for an in-depth discussion in this video Enable and work with Noise Reduction, part of Photos for OS X Essential Training.
- I'm going to show you noise reduction.…I'll be honest with you, it's not one of…the adjustments that I'm particularly crazy about,…in Photos for OS 10.…In fact, I didn't even like it that much in aperture.…The good news is, however, there is…a photo extension for noise reduction.…And we'll be looking at photo extensions…later on in this chapter.…But for the moment, let me show you…where noise reduction is, and how it works.…Well take a look at this photo here…now normally, you're going to have noise…reduction in dark shots, slightly under exposed…at higher ISO's.…
Things like that.…There is an alternative use for noise reduction…though, and I'm going to show you that right now.…Because it's actually a bit more effective…that way.…I know.…I can't help myself, this is what I believe.…So I'm going to go to add.…And we'll go to noise reduction right here…and we'll turn it on.…Like definition.…Like sharpen.…The application applies what it believes…is a good amount, for this particular photo.…
Let's zoom in and let's see what's going on.…
