- Your camera will often to attempt…to make a correct white balance.…Essentially, if your camera's in auto white balance mode,…which your phone pretty much always is,…and many point-and-shoots and even DSLRs can be,…it will measure the scene, look for something…that it thinks is white or neutral gray…and try to remove all the color cast.…Well that's great but sometimes it gets it wrong.…Maybe the lighting conditions are mixed…or the camera just misjudges.…In any case, we've got pretty precise control over this…during post production.…
Let's do this on a couple of different images.…First, we'll take this lighting image…that was shot in the dark.…This was very low lighting with some mixed…overhead lights and colored gels.…This is a traditional statue and what I'd like to do…is fix the white balance.…Under the adjustments here,…I'm not gonna touch anything except the white balance.…If we scroll down to the bottom here,…you'll notice the ability that it's currently evaluating…what it thinks is a neutral gray.…If you want to reset that,…
