- Like everything else in the world of photography, drone-based photography is advancing at an incredible pace. The technology is really going through the roof. Recently, Lynda.com sent out a documentary team to shoot some of the pioneers and the cutting-edge people who are really pushing the boundaries of drone photography, and they came back with some really, really cool stuff. There are guys out there prototyping things, there are companies out there developing new technologies that are really changing the field of drone photography and making it easier, improving the quality of the imagery, and making things much cheaper. Some of the things you can expect to see in the future are something like this. This is a first-person view system, a set of goggles that you wear that allow you to control the camera simply by turning your head. You just see what the camera is seeing through the goggles, and if you want to look at…
