What you should know before watching this course

Rich Harrington: We're just about ready to jump in, but a lot of you are wondering, what do I need to know before I take this class? Well, this course is designed for users of all levels, beginner through advanced. What this means is, is we're going to throw out some really good core concepts to make sure everyone is on the same page, but you might hear some advanced information, and if you're not ready for it yet, that's okay. You can always come back and watch the class again later. But users of all levels will be able to get things done using these techniques. However, I do recommend that you take some time to actually get to know your camera first. Abba Shapiro: Yeah, it's important to understand your camera being able to control aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, and just knowing focal length. So, having a basic understanding of how to control your camera is important, and we'll try to cover everything else within the framework of the course. Rich: Okay, so with that in mind, let's jump in and start to explore how we're going to put all these pieces together.
