- You don't need much to get through this course. I'm going to give you some exercises, some shooting exercises, at the end, you can do those with any camera. We're not really going to be talking about anything technical in this course. Some things will come during some discussions, but they'll be very basic. As I mentioned in the last movie, you need to have already watched Foundations of Photography: Composition, because I lean heavily on ideas presented in that course. Mostly, in this course, we're going to be looking at photos, photos that have already been taken. And you may think, well, what does that have to do with me learning composition? I need to learn how to go out and shoot. And, absolutely, to get better at composition, you have to be shooting a lot. But you also have to be looking at lots of other photos.
