What is Skylum Luminar?
- Another alternative that you can consider to replace Lightroom is Luminar. Now Luminar is made by a company called Skylum, formerly known as Macphun. It's a cross platform tool available for Mac and Windows and it functions as a full featured photo editor. There are many things inside of Luminar that are unique to Luminar. Let's go ahead and walk through some of the core benefits of using Skylum's Luminar. Luminar is a full service raw editing application that also supports rich filters. Now Luminar goes off of the principal of work spaces and you'll find different work spaces for different tasks. For example, the street photography work space is designed for street photographs and sea shooting while other work spaces such as landscape or portrait will give you a different set of tools.
