Using Flexible Program mode

- While program mode is going to set the shutter speed…and aperture automatically based on…the ISO settings, you can still influence this.…You can try out different combinations of shutter speed…and aperture by rotating your command dials.…Each of these combinations will give you a proper exposure,…but you can influence the motion stopping…by changing the shutter speed…or the depth of field by changing the aperture.…This is really an improvement over the truly automatic mode…as it allows you to compensate for changing conditions.…

So, for example here as I've got the camera set up,…if I make adjustments here you notice…that I can change the aperture.…Now, with the one command dial, both numbers are changing.…So, if I decrease the aperture to F22 on this lens,…which is going to give me truly an extended depth of field,…you'll notice that the shutter speed slows down.…In this case it's measuring at almost a full second.…

(clicking)…Now, it gives me nice quality,…and what we have is a lot of area in focus.…The foreground through the background is perfectly in focus.…
