Before you begin to take photos and video with your Sony mirrorless camera, it is a good idea to start by taking a quick look at some of the essential buttons and controls on your camera. In this video, author Richard Harrington demonstrates how to take shots in your Sony mirrorless camera’s Auto mode and how to review images.
- Okay now that the camera is turned on and the lens…and memory card are ready and we have a stable platform,…let's go ahead and take a few shots.…Make sure that the camera again is powered up and then look…for your mode dot.…To start let's go ahead and put it in a mode where…the camera makes all of the main decisions.…This is a good way to get used to your camera at first.…So I'll turn this dial to the auto mode and that's…indicated here with a green bar as well to make it…a bit easier.…
Now this mode is a great way to get familiar with your…camera but later on you're going to learn about other…modes for example maybe you want to control how much…of the scene is in focus from front to back, well that's…called depth of field and aperture priority mode works…well for that.…Other times you might want to freeze the action…of a fast-moving subject.…Well shutter priority mode is really good for that.…And sometimes you just want to make the camera make most…of the decisions for you, allowing you to work more quickly.…
