Join Justin Reznick for an in-depth discussion in this video Solution 1: Shoot an iconic shot at golden hour, part of 5-Day Photo Challenge: Landscapes.
- Welcome back, how'd it go for ya? I'm hoping your image looks like other people's images and that's okay, that was the challenge, was to create that iconic image from a location that you've either shot from quite a few times or many people have. In this case here at Lake Matheson, this is a very famous location. I got the shot during golden hour, I've got some nice light on the mountains, I've got the light on the clouds, I've got a nice reflection, I did it all! I made sure and check the histogram, I wasn't hitting the left or right wall, my aperture was f/11, nice depth in field.
I made sure to check for sharpness, each corner of that image, really check for sharpness. I did all those things. So, I feel like I completed the challenge. Right? I created an image that's gonna look a lot like others online but it's mine and I did it and now what I get to do is grow from it. So, I hope you continue with me and stay tuned for the next challenges coming because we're gonna grow and expand upon this idea. Alright, thank you for joining me and I'll see you on the next challenge.
