Shooting panoramas
- One of my favorite types of shooting is panoramic images, the ability to see a great wide shot of a beautiful location. Now, you're welcome to check out some of my in depth training inside of the library here, but I'd like to give you a quick crash course on what's involved in shooting a panoramic photo. Now of course some folks will just use a wide angled lens on an image and take a picture in a traditional landscape view, and that's fine, but it doesn't give you a very high resolution image, and it still only gives you a field of view of about that wide, and maybe you want to see something that's more of a pan, or really get an all encompassing 360 degree view, in that case you're going to need to do a little bit of a change to your shooting style. First up, I recommend that you get the camera to go from a landscape orientation to a portrait orientation, now some people will do that by just using the ball head, and most ball heads have a notch that'll allow you to take this and…
