Now that you have an understanding of the essential buttons, features, and controls on your Sony mirrorless camera, you can take a deeper look at the controls found on your camera. In this video, author Richard Harrington demonstrates how to set the important camera menu settings for your Sony mirrorless camera.
- Let's dig in to some of the most important menu settings.…To do this, just press the Menu button…on the back of your camera.…Now, depending upon the camera, you'll see multiple tabs.…In this case, this is the menu system for the Sony A7 III.…This is a pretty complex menu system with lots of tabs.…If you take a look at something like the a6300,…you'll see many of the same choices but far fewer options.…Now don't get overwhelmed by these choices,…but let's talk about some of the more important ones.…
To do this, we'll go to the Setup menu.…In this case,…we're going to take a look at a couple of important options.…First up, I would suggest that you set the display quality…to high, so you get better quality previews.…So you also can choose the power save time.…This is how long it takes before your camera shuts off.…I tend to set it to about a minute.…That way, I can review images a little bit longer…without the screen turning off,…but it still saves quite a bit of battery.…You also could take a look here…on if it's going to turn off based upon temperature.…
