Recording a GPS track log

- In some cases, where you captured a photo can be an important and helpful piece of information and, if you have a camera with a GPS receiver built in, that information can be added automatically. But what if you don't have such a camera? Well, chances are, you actually do have such a camera. For example, if you have a smartphone, that includes a GPS receiver, and so the photos that you capture with that smartphone can include location information, GPS coordinates, automatically. In addition, though, you can record a track log with a GPS device. There are apps for smartphones and other stand-alone GPS navigators also include a feature for recording a track log. A track log keeps track of your location in the concept of time. So, as you're moving around, the time and your location are recorded at various intervals. Then later, in the computer, you can synchronize that track log with the photos that you captured and, based on the captured time, you'll know, or the computer will know…
