- The last option you have is to go to another tool but before you do this, it's pretty important that you get your library organized. Many of the other tools don't fully recognize everything that Lightroom does, but core information like metadata and tags as well as things like cropping usually come across. Additionally, any organization you do can also be moved over, but what's most effective is if you take the time to clean up your Lightroom library. The same steps I'm going to recommend for making the move to Lightroom CC can come in handy when you want to move to another product. In involves getting your assets downloaded and organized and getting them all consolidated to a drive or a disk array. Then, as you want to try out some of these other tools, you could often browse that folder structure and find things.
