- Here at the Practicing Photographer, I bug you guys a lot about the importance of looking at the work of other photographers and I deeply believe that. I think as much as shooting practice, one of the most important things in improving your photos is to look at what else is out there. Particularly what's come before. Look at the history of photography. Look at the works of great photographers and learn from them. So, if looking at other photographs can make you a better photographer, what about the fact that sometimes, because we live in such a photo saturated world, what happens when you're looking at photographs that aren't so good?
