Optimizing video color
- Once you've locked down exposure, it's time to get the color right. This can include getting a proper white balance as well as the overall intensity of color with things like saturation and vibrancy. I can see in this particular scene, that the red, green, and blue are not perfectly balanced. Now the subject matter might create this, but I'm gonna try taking my white balance eyedropper here and click on something that should be white. Let's go with the mountain range here. A neutral gray can also work. By selecting different points here, I can see the overall balance and a slight shift is occurring here. Now depending upon where I click, I get a different point, but I like this one here. It's slightly cooled down the shot. If I move this, you see what happens to the overall balance of left to right. It's warming or cooling the shot. A little cooler here is motivated by the subject. Using tint will lower the reds and blues in relation to the green. So looking at that, we can adjust…
