- [Steve Simon] Hey everybody. … My name is Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer. … And welcome to a brand new edition … of Photo Critique of the Week. … In this week's episode, I'm going to talk … about some work by Jeffery Carson. … He's a photographer who does a lot of traveling, … and this particular body of work … comes from a recent trip to India. … And I wanted to highlight this because I think that … Jeff's work is a good example of … when you're traveling to kind of work it … until you get a feeling communicated … that not just describes visually … what the place looks like, but also maybe … a little bit more how it feels to be there. … And I think in some of Jeff's strongest work … that's exactly what happens. … He's communicating what life is like … and what it feels like to be in a place. … And this is what I think the strength … and power of his work is. … But I think that's what strong photography does. … And, don't get me wrong, like any photographer … you've got to work it and there's a lot of failed images. …
