- Here at The Practicing Photographer, we talk a lot about things you can do to practice your photography. How to get better pictures, and very often, we're focused on individual shots. Finding a project though is often an essential part of taking yourself and your photography up to a more interesting place, and I'm here today with Bob Sober. Bob and I met ten years ago or so in a workshop. At that time, Bob, you were shooting a lot of interesting pictures, a lot of macro stuff, and so on and so forth... and as I've gotten to know you better, I've gotten glimpses that you tend to go pretty deep into projects from time to time. We're here in Bob's house, and I've seen some hood ornament paintings, some graphite portraits scattered around, some blue meanies and some other stuff. A couple years ago though, you mentioned for the first time that you were shooting some bugs. And I didn't realize how much you were shooting bugs.
