- You know, photography's really good…at capturing a literal representation…of whatever you point your camera at,…but in my experience, you know…depending what the content you're showing is,…they may not always be that interesting.…But reflections can be really interesting in photography.…Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the passionate photographer,…and welcome to another episode of…Photo Critique of the Week.…This week, we're going to talk about reflections,…and I know that the term or the word…can be interpreted in different ways,…but basically, I'm saying that…not only are you recording…what is being, what you see in front of you…but also what is being reflected…off the object that you're recording.…
And that's where the serendipity comes in.…And I've selected a few images here to talk about…that I think help to make my point.…This first image by Paul Lavergne…around Time Square area,…you know after it rains in the city,…what normally would be a very mundane scene,…the literal representation of this place…without the reflections…
