- In order to get the most out of this course, you should keep your camera in your hands. This is one of the best ways to learn. As we explore particular shooting types or talk about a specific menu, you should experiment as well. Also keep in mind that some of the skills you're going to learn aren't that easy, so it's better to watch a few movies at a time rather than take the whole course in all at once. What I find is most useful is to watch one chapter. Now my personal suggestion, since many of the skills that we cover build upon each other, is that it's a good idea to start near the beginning of this course and work your way through in a linear fashion.
If you find yourself jumping around a lot, you're going to miss information that's quite useful and it's going to cause you more problems in the long run. So if you're willing to be a little bit patient and work through the course in a nice straight, methodical way what you'll find is that you really gain a good mastery of your camera. We're going to go into all of the things that are necessary for a beginner and intermediate shooter, walking you through course settings and options that really make the camera easier to use. And because every shooter's a little bit different and every shooting style is a little bit different, you may find some options that you haven't explored before that are worth making it into your workflow.
So my suggestion is charge up your camera battery, grab the camera body and a lens and let's begin.
